In an exclusive off-market deal, we secured three adjacent properties along the same stretch of road. These buildings had been left vacant for over 20 years, showing extensive signs of vandalism, squatting, and neglect. Their tired exteriors failed to do justice to the street or the surrounding businesses, despite their prime location overlooking the newly developed Becketwell Live Arena in Derby city centre.

Transforming Neglect into Opportunity

- Our redevelopment vision focused on creating modern, high-quality spaces while respecting the character of the buildings. Across the three properties, we delivered:

- 24 contemporary studio apartments designed for comfortable city living

- Three new commercial units to attract businesses and increase footfall in the area

Design

With careful attention to detail, we incorporated unique architectural features to enhance each space:

- Exposed original timber beams in one unit, preserving the building’s character

- Stepped levels in another, naturally defining sleeping and kitchen areas

- Bespoke fixed furniture, crafted and installed by our interiors division, ensuring a seamless finish

Delivering Results

Once planning permission was secured, all three properties were fully refurbished within 10 months, breathing new life into this once-forgotten stretch of Derby city centre.
